Again- Cops get shit for doing their jobs

Dozens March Against Police - Oakland

According to an angry crowd of protesters, Oakland Police Department committed genocide this week when they fatally gunned down Lovelle Mixon, a fugitive parolee, who was suspected of raping a 12-year old girl.

That is not why they shot him however, so please don't get excited just yet.

After pulling over Mixon for a routine traffic stop, Mixon shot and killed 2 motorcycle cops with an illegal handgun, and killed two more officers (presumably SWAT) as they tried to take him into custody.

The police had every right to shoot him on sight. He killed 2 officers, and subsequently another 2, yet the police are dogs for killing him? Explain to me in what convoluted world that is logical.

The protesters sent their sympathies to Mixon's family, but did one of them send any sympathies to the families of the 4 officers who he had slain in the altercation?

It is absolutely disgusting the way police get treated when they give their lives to uphold the law. The complete lack of respect for authority and our uniformed officers is appalling.

My condolences and sympathies go out to the mothers, fathers, children, wives, and other family and friends of the 4 brave officers who's lives were unfortunately taken from them in the line of duty. I hope this issue blows over quickly, but I unfortunately don't think that will be the case.

Now I Know What Kind of Change he was Referring to.

Google Finance

November 4th, 2008 - the DOW was at 9,625.

January 20th, 2009 - The DOW was at 7,949.

Feburary 23rd, the DOW was at 7,114.

This isn't the Hope and Change I had in mind.

I don't have nearly as much invested in my retirement fund, or even just in the market under a normal account as I would like to, nor as much as most people, but I can say this:
Since Barack Obama got elected, I have seen over a 30% loss in my portfolios. Now I know I cannot possibly be the only person who this has affected. I know I cannot be the only person who doesn't like this. If it wasn't for some good investments into Canadian markets and Canadian companies, I would be living under a rock right now probably.

It seems like every time Mr. Obama opens his mouth on national television to discuss his plans for the economy, or the status of the economy, the markets react negatively. Just yesterday (February 23rd), he addressed Congress and the nation as a whole on the economy. That day, the DOW dropped to its lowest point since 1997.

Mr. Obama, I humbly ask you, speaking for investors everywhere; Please stop talking.

Fifteen Reasons John Hawkins is Already Fed up with Obama.

Repost from TownHall but it was worth me opening up the old blog again. Full of colourful analogies, John Hawkins does not disappoint, and naturally, I wouldn't post this if I didn't agree.

15) The stimulus bill is the single largest spending bill in the history of humankind and yet, Obama is running around telling everyone how he's going to cut the deficit in a few years. Obama claiming to be a deficit hawk -- that's like getting a lecture on honesty from Bill Clinton.

14) ACORN, which engaged in large scale voter fraud during the 2008 election that won't be seriously investigated because Obama is in the White House, is now unapologetically breaking into houses across the country and encouraging squatters. Apparently, if you're a liberal group, you are above the law as long as the Obama administration is in the White House.

13) Despite the fact that America just conclusively proved it's not a racist nation by electing the first black President, race hustling bottom feeders like Al Sharpton and Julian Bond are making ridiculous charges of racism over an obviously non-racial cartoon. I thought the implicit promise of the Left was that electing Obama would put the race hustlers out of business?

12) Despite all the doomsday talk that we're hearing about how only European style socialism can save us from another depression, this recession isn't even close to being as bad as the one we endured in the early eighties. The utter lack of perspective about this topic is disturbing.

11) Barack Obama has already broken more campaign promises in a month than George Bush did in eight years. He's a living, breathing example of everything people hate about politics. He's habitually dishonest, will say anything if it benefits him politically, and he has already doled out more taxpayer money to his supporters via the stimulus bill than any politician in history.

10) Many of the same moderate Republicans who helped destroy the party over the last 4 years by pushing big spending, big government, pro-illegal immigration policies, and worst of all, John McCain, are once again declaring that the solution to our problems is to pursue many of the same policies that allowed the Democrats to take almost total control of D.C. "Thanks, but no thanks" for the "helpful" advice.

9) It's grotesque to see the worshipful treatment Obama is getting. It seems like his face is on the cover of half the magazines in the country, the press treats him with kid gloves, and they're naming schools after him. Meanwhile, he's just another sleazy politician who has yet to show an aptitude for much of anything other than reading off of a teleprompter.

8) In what is sure to be the first of many betrayals, Arlen Specter, Olympia Snowe, and Susan Collins sold the Republican Party and the American people down the river on the stimulus package. The amazing thing was not that they caved, since it has come to be expected from those three, but that they prostituted themselves to the Democrats so cheaply. Had they simply held out for another week or two, they could have given the GOP much more leverage, shaved at least another hundred billion off the stimulus package, and could have acquired tens of millions more in goodies for their constituents.

7) The Treasury Secretary, Tim Geithner, is a tax cheat. Let me repeat that: Timothy Geithner, the guy who is the head honcho of the IRS, is a tax cheat. One more time, Tim Geithner, the guy who will be in charge when the Obama administration institutes what will probably be the single largest tax increase in American history, later in Obama's first term, is a tax cheat.

6) Despite the fact that the Big 3 automakers have been so thoroughly destroyed by the unions that work for them that they have to come begging for billions per month just to survive, the Democratic Party is getting ready to try to ram a card check bill through the Senate that would expand the presence of unions all across the country. That's like finding a turd in the punch bowl and just tossing it into the lemonade.

5) The single most successful program of the Clinton years, welfare reform, has already been essentially repealed with no debate via the stimulus package. It's part of Obama's attempt to radically transform the country before the American people fully realize what's happening. So far, judging by the lack of discussion over welfare reform, it seems to be working.

4) The very same government that destroyed the banking industry by forcing it to make loans to people who couldn't pay them back is now using the very crisis it created to try to nationalize the banking industry. This is like making an arsonist the new fire chief after he burned down the fire station and 3-4 city blocks surrounding it.

3) Barack Obama is like Jimmy Carter on speed. In anticipation of the American people vomiting at the mere mention of his name in the future, he's trying to cram every single thing on the liberal wish list through so fast that our legislators don't even have time to read the bills that they're voting on.

2) We're literally going to spend hundreds of billions of dollars rewarding people for failing to pay their mortgages. Granted, they're not going to admit to that, but when people who pay their mortgages on time get nothing while people who aren't paying their mortgages get a break, courtesy of their fellow citizens' tax dollars, what else can it be called other than a reward for irresponsibility?

1) Prior to the stimulus bill being passed, the Congressional Budget Office estimated that the recession we're in would be over by the 2nd half of 2009. In other words, we're going to spend 1.2 trillion dollars on a stimulus bill and best case scenario, it could pull us out of a recession 3-6 months early. Of course, it seems more likely that all the government interference and massive increases in debt could extend, rather than shorten the length of the recession. If we're not out of it by 2010, we know who deserves the blame.

What Obama Means for Video Gamers

Thanks to websites such as GamePolitics, gamers are much more involved in issues that affect their rights and their ability to game than ever before.

Couple that with Sen. Obama's targeted ad campaign in Burnout Paradise, and his campaign to get the youth to vote and you would think we would be more involved than ever.

But now it is as if the hypnotist snapped his fingers, and we are all of the sudden standing on a chair with our pants down cluckling like a chicken, and start seeing the reality.

That reality is that Senator Obama may have questionable views when it comes to video games. One of his opponents during primary season was the infamous Hillary Clinton, another Democrat who has done everything in her power to block games such as GTA IV and Manhunt from ever seeing the light of day.

Gamers seem to also have forgotten that the same man also generalized them all as underachievers.

The typical gamer demographic (18-25 or so) is unfortunately prone to voter apathy, but when confronted about their rights could be one of the biggest special interest groups out there. We should be more involved, we should care more about our rights, and make sure that they are not infringed.

And so it begins...

2) Russia announces it is putting missiles on EU border...

3) Democratic Senator Schumer compared conservative talk radio to porn as a justification for supporting the Fairness Doctrine...

4) The stock market that was supposed to stabilize as soon as the election was decided dropped more than it had ever dropped after an election ...

5) Palestinians (or some other Islamic group) in Gaza fired 40 rockets into Israel which led to Israel launching an airstrike into Gaza...

And so It begins.

The morning after...

I sit here, recollecting the events of last night.

A lot of heated things were said by conservatives- a lot of people, both young and old, are upset with last night's decision. It is understandable.

Here is what we are looking at.

Obama gets sworn in.
During his term he has the ability to select 2 Supreme Court Justices (who will all be to the like of Ruth Bader Ginsburg). These two new justices will easily be approved by the democratic majority congress (Though thank God they haven't hit the filibuster proof majority yet).

The Democrats will then have a majority in all 3 branches of Government. (so much for checks and balances - our forefathers would be proud of us!)

With a uniform legislative branch, and with no threat of veto from the Executive branch we are going to see liberal legislation after liberal legislation passed.

The new Supreme Court is going to start legislating from the bench- overruling many crucial cases, reaffirming Roe v. Wade, destroying everything Justices Roberts Scalia, and Thomas have accomplished. We will see an unprecedented wave of judicial activism. They will overturn the recent decision in the DC Handgun ban (District of Columbia v. Heller). They are going to undermine our police and military's abilities to do their jobs effectively and efficiently.

They are going to trample on the Constitution, piss on Old Glory and effectively destroy everything our nations founding fathers created.

I'm not going as far as to say horses will start eating each other, or the world is going to end in 2012, or any of that nonsense; but we are in for a drastic change over the next 4 years.

Obama claims to have brought unity to the country- a statement which could not be further from the truth. Read a few other entries in my blog- you will see that the nation is more divided than ever. And yet - he has the gall to quote Lincoln in his victory speech.

*sigh*

I hope I am wrong. I pray that I am wrong.

In 2010, during the midterm elections, America will wake up and realize what they have done, and the mistake they have made. In 2010 Republicans will take back Congress and being the healing process. I only pray that it is not too late.

When the dust settles...

I have my passport in hand, but at the same time and as I prepare myself mentally to be an ex-patriot, I can not bring myself to leave the country that has given me everything.

Only in America- could a black socialist, who's middle name is Hussein, has known ties to terrorists, and wasn't necessarily even born in the United States (as admitted by his own grandmother) - play the naive uneducated American public, and play to the guilt of the white for something that none of them had any hand in - become president of the free world.

Only in America could a man with no military experience what-so-ever, become commander-in-chief of the largest military superpower on earth.

Wake up people - slavery ended over 150 years ago, segregation ended almost 60 years ago. The POTUS is not an affirmative action position. There is no room for on the job training.

This country is going in a different direction. When we see Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida fall to the left- we know there is a problem.

In closing, America - it isn't me. Its you.
You've changed - you are going in a direction that I fear I cannot be a part of.

To all of my like-minded friends- (mostly from Digg). It was an honor to fight beside you for the past few months. We will fight through this. We will grit out teeth. We will be dragged through this kicking and screaming- but we will come out on top. We are strong. We will prevail in the long run. Lets just hope we don't go past the point of no return.

Here's to 2012.

RIP America 1776 - 2008
